Day 1: Oslo to Harestua (Distance: 60 km) Our family road trip begins as we leave Oslo, heading north towards Harestua, covering approximately 60 km. A short drive brings us to Harestua Camping, nestled by the Randsfjorden. This serene camping spot offers a chance to unwind. Along the way, make a stop at Hadeland Glassverk, where the kids can enjoy glassblowing demonstrations and explore the beautiful surroundings.

Day 2: Harestua to Hurdal (Distance: 100 km) Continuing our journey, we head west to Hurdal, approximately 100 km from Harestua. Hurdal Camping by Lake Hurdalsjøen provides a family-friendly atmosphere with various activities. Don’t miss the Hurdal Ecovillage, where the kids can engage in sustainable living experiences. For a sweet treat, stop by Kafe Huset and try their homemade ice cream.

Day 3: Hurdal to Eidsvoll (Distance: 95 km) Driving south, our next stop is Eidsvoll, approximately 95 km away. Eidsvoll is known for its historical significance as the birthplace of the Norwegian Constitution. Visit the Eidsvollsbygningen, a museum that transports visitors back to 1814. Settle into a camping spot by Lake Mjøsa and enjoy a family evening by the water.

Day 4: Eidsvoll to Gjøvik (Distance: 90 km) Our campervan adventure continues as we head northwest to Gjøvik, covering around 90 km. Gjøvik Camping, situated by Lake Mjøsa, offers a perfect setting for family activities. Explore the Gjøvik Glassverks and learn about glassblowing traditions. For a refreshing treat, stop by Gjøvik Glassmagasin for ice cream and local delicacies.

Day 5: Gjøvik to Hamar (Distance: 70 km) Driving eastward, we reach Hamar, approximately 70 km from Gjøvik. Hamar Camping by Lake Mjøsa invites families to enjoy the waterfront setting. Explore the Anno Museum, featuring historic buildings and interactive exhibits. Before leaving Hamar, treat the family to delicious ice cream at Aukrustsenteret Café.

Day 6: Hamar to Ringsaker (Distance: 35 km) Our journey takes us further north to Ringsaker, covering a short distance of approximately 35 km. Visit the Ringsaker Kirke, a beautiful church with a rich history. Ringsaker Camping offers a relaxed atmosphere for the family. For a delightful evening, enjoy a meal at one of the local eateries, savoring Norwegian specialties.

Day 7: Ringsaker to Lillehammer (Distance: 45 km) and Return to Oslo Concluding our family adventure, we head back south to Lillehammer, around 45 km from Ringsaker. Lillehammer, known for the Maihaugen Open-Air Museum and family-friendly attractions, offers a perfect ending to our trip. Before heading back to Oslo, indulge in some ice cream at Lillehammer Iskrem and create final memories of a fantastic family campervan adventure.
